I hit tipping point with discretionary trading and decided to quit for a while and study price action with the hopes of improving. I went back and checked out some historical data, and ran a backtest to see if my observations were correct. One thing led to another, and now I'm working on an automated system: Here are the latest stats: It still needs some work. I've currently hit a bit of a wall improving it. I tried to get some help in the automated trading forum a while ago but there didn't seem to be anyone willing. I was going to work on it a bit today. I've decided that my probability of success is higher with this route, I don't think I have the emotional control and that was hurting me. The potential greater freedom of time perk is also quite nice.
