Thanks for your comments Game. Have not really pay much attention to the VAP, I´ll see how to incorporate it into my analysis.
Daily: Yesterday was somewhat of a RET, but it will only be tested if PDH can be overtaken by buyers today. (LOLR: Up) Hourly: We are on what looks like a hinge from my perspective, before the open we are at the SL of the hinge and near R at PDH. (LOLR: Chop) 5 min After falling from PDH, sellers lost their interest at PDMP, from there buyers pushed forward and now are on their way to 186 (LOLR: UP)
1. The market was in a TR between 80 and 83 before the open, the fact that buyers were unable to hold the bottom and that the SL was still valid was my reason to short this BO. I made a big mistake though, as the open got volatile i decided to close the trade at BE. Instead of waiting for a valid break of SL, that never happened, prices just poked above it and then fell back again. 2. Instead, i tried to short again at the RET, but I got immediate rejection from buyers, this made me again close the trade way too early, as LSH was holding. 3. I was not on my best mental shape by this time and missed the LH below R that could have served as an opp to reenter on the short side. The exit could have been around 73, but that is all BS as I was not on that trade. 4. The dot marks the real place where I should have entered, now, i got distracted and missed the entry so I took the next one i got. Closed at the break of DL 5. The close of 4 was a SAR as we were having a LH at R and a break of DL, After I saw a HL at S i decided to close, my reading I was being sucked into a hinge. 6. Bought the BO of the hinge, sold at the break of DL, but then made a rookie mistake, forgot that i had 2 contracts on the trade, so i was no short at a very bad spot, Instead of closing the trade I placed a limit buy at the entry price but it was not triggered, i ended up closing in a bad spot. 7. My reading was that the trend was still valid, but now I see i was far away from the danger level. This proved to be a mistake again as prices plunged and took me out of the trade. 8. I was out of focus and not thinking correctly, failed to see that i was on a hinge and act accordingly instead my reading was a LH and shorted. Another crappy trade, I guess I lost it after my operational mistake with the order. 9. After a poke above PDH and a rejection on lower volume I assumed this could be an opp to reenter as DL from the open was still intact, so i took the RET, the problem is that i failed and buyers stalled at their second attempt to break R at 86. 10. The break of TL and the LH was my signal to enter in the short side, I was waiting for a RET but it was too deep, as I got a HL i decided to call it a day and close at BE. Today I was out of focus, I have to work on that as well as being much more careful with the orders that I leave open.
Daily: This is starting to look more and more as a pause, before bulls take over again and push for a HH in the daily. But will need a break above PDH in order to be able to see if my hypothesis is correct. For now LOLR: UP Hourly What looks like one of those NR congestions is really a hinge at the hourly, we are currently at the top of the hinge, as price touches the SL and R at 75, a BO above 75 will mean bulls are taking control, but still lots of R on the way to 82. LOLR: Chop, but expect a BO. 5 min It has been a bumpy upswing, guess is typical of hinge swings. Buyers were unable to break above 76 and now are heading again towards PDMP at 71, DL still holds, but it looks extrachoppy. LOLR: Chop
1. At the open buyers try to push prices above R but fail, then fail again 2 minutes later, after the fail comes the short opp, although I was thinking that there could be S nearby as the premarket range provided plenty of trade get through. Sellers breaks the bottom of the TR but find S below 70, Asuming that a valid BO would not come back into the range i closed the trad as soon as price comes back in. 2. But then buyers stall around the MP of the premarket TR on higher volume (this is the first time I actually pay attention to it), so i decide to reenter in the short side, but then again i thought if prices manage to break this time, buyers should not be able to get back inside the TR, as they return I closed the trade once again. By 9:43 i was in a hinge, si no more trades until things cleared out. There was a Hinge BO to the upside, but then again R was way to close, so no entry. 3. At the next failure of buyers for taking out R at 76, the break of the DL of the hinge and the Break of the bottom of the range in strong volume a short at the RET was taken. The trade was exited on the break of SL. 4. After the Break of SL buyers pushed all the way to LSH and then when sellers were trying to breach LSL found increasing volume just a tick below LSL, It was a new failure, and as I am in the process of testing them an entry was called for here. 5. As prices Breached the DL and a LH was configured I thought about exiting, but did not, I guess it was hope, and it was wrong I stayed in and decided that is the last swing low was taken the trade would be exited. That did not happen, prices made a HH and I re-traced the DL, but then just a minute later buyers failed on increasing volume and the DL was poked, so i decided to close the long.
Youâre improving dramatically Keep up the good work I donât see any reference to the wider picture⦠have you been keeping an eye on that during the day? Tomer.
Daily: Looks like the Uptrend just got turbocharged and after a strong gap we are in what looks like a RET in the making. LOLR: UP Hourly: Prices congested after hitting 3213 in what seems like a hinge, earlier in the morning sellers managed to break out of that hinge. LOLR: Down 5 min After the hinge BO, there was a sell off that found S at 193, so far the downtrend holds and we are in what looks like a RET. LOLR: Down
Niko, I like your posts. Your thoughts are getting streamlined. Keep up the work and enjoy the trading. Gringo
Thanks for the comment. Today was specially hard, after the first downmove it got into the realm of the chop and got trapped a couple of times, by the time I got tired I had squandered most of my early profits
