Which one trades better the es or the nq? i have read many reports that say nq trends beter than the es and since my method is based off of a 30 minute chart instead of 5 minute being on the right side of the trend is a must!
ES is more liquid but NQ is tradable too. Since you're probably only going to trade a few contracts at a time, you can easily trade one or the other without any problems. Just dont' enter into or hold any positions during major FED/economic news releases.
If you are a beginning trader, either one will relieve you of your capital equally quickly. If you are an experienced trader, either one is a great way to make money. I am guessing you are the former, but I'm wrong alot. ES is more liquid, so a better way to lose. Also more prone to manipulation and stop runs, but I'm sure NQ has the same issue. I trade ES exclusively. You may also want to look into the Mini Russell, less active and more trendy from what I have seen.
