That is crazy gain to have a house for 2.5k. However, i think the tax , insurance, and maintainance of the house, makes it produce less gain than NDX. Wish i threw all my savings to NDX years ago.
You can't live in a stock. Rent is money you never get back that reduces your cash available to "invest". There is also the hassles of dealing with a landlord and any disruption if the landlord decides not to renew the lease. Also, in many cases having equity in a home often would allow you to borrow money to invest if you want that risk. Helps in other ways like getting better terms on credit cards, lines of credit, building credit, and peace of mind when unexpected events occur. Bottom line it's not optimum to be plowing money into an index that has gone up a lot in the last year or so unless you are dollar averaging, but I'd hardly call the Nasdaq parabolic in 2021 it corrected 10% not long ago.
Nothing matters, every dip is bought hand over fist. Overbought...who cares..buy buy buy. Apple, Amazon, Google, Facebook...all warn on upcoming quarter....who cares..buy buy buy. China invades Europe...who cares buy buy buy.
Yes that is how the game is played. Buy it up first ask if it's overvalued later. Those who overthink will miss out. This game is about 1 step ahead.
Watch the close, if we end way off the lows, then IMO everything is still intact. We have seen this over and over. Even if we get a 10-20% selloff, its nothing. Look at a monthly chart. A 20% drop is nothing. Unless your just now buying.
VIX didn't drop with recovery so there might be a few more selloffs. All good dip buying opportunities. Don't hesitate.
I can't take this, every asset class is priced to perfection. I see nothing worth buy right now. The big drop overnight Wednesday was to shake out the overnight buyers who have been buying the cash close and selling the cash open. That is a strategy that works. Just make sure and use stops. I am so sick of this relentless surge higher. I need to step back, this is insane whats happening right now. The FOMC has caused everything to inflate...everything, even used cars.
