I'm not sure what you mean by "remove liquidity" - do you mean you use limit orders at the current bid or ask price as opposed to a market order? And if there is no longer a bid/ask available at that price then you don't get filled?

  2. I wanted to ask that same question, but was embarrassed to do so. That Pro-Am thing, doncha know.

  3. When I say I remove liquidity I mean that Im picking up a bid/offer posted by someone else, instead of getting in line. Basically Im using a market order.

  4. As my time on earth dwindles, I increasingly experience phantasmagorical visions of death and renewal. Perhaps this explains my long-running phascination with ET. Tonight as I slept phitfully, I has a wintry vision of ET as a city of countless spires of threads, all covered lightly with a blanket of snow. Upon closer examination the snow resolved itself into the pigeon poop of thread death. I slept again, the phantastical city to be replaced by a phorest of monstrous phalli, all simultaneously being jerked off. A cruder but more realistic representation of a phatic ET.

  5. My martial background (or marital, as the case may be) supposedly befits me for the war of trading. But increasingly I feel less belligerant, saying things to my trading partners like "Carry on! You're doing fine!" or "Thank you ever so much for filling me without slippage!" or "Many thanks for letting me go long when you know full well you are about to screw everybody who's going short!". And I think of myself less as a warrior and more as a scavenger, a sneak thief even: "You two don't mind me. While you're fighting I'm just going to slip into the till and filch a Ben Franklin!". So I find my days are so much more equanimous (not really a word, but you didn't know that, you'll have to go look it up to be sure) now that I am not at war. End of sermon, troops!

  6. Hi Duref,

You should study Hieronimus Bosch paintings more in depth.

  9. Watching NQ trade is not unlike looking at an Escher staircase. I still haven't figured out the purpose of a 100+ car market order long at the exact top of a move. It happens routinely, so it's a deliberate strategy. Obviously it isn't to make money directly or to cover a bad short. And I can't figure how it's a hedge trade. Or an arbitrage. So how does that pile of money get back up the other side of the staircase? (Sorry for the thinly disguised effort to keep out of Chit-Chat.)

  10. it could be an arbitrage between the NQ and the ND... or something of that sort... sell 20 carts of ND buy 100 NQ´s...
