Discord's easy. Support, well that's a dif story. Path of least resistance. Don' worry 'bout it. What inquiring minds wanna know is this... How much nuts and bolts work remains to be done before this system would be able to be implemented? eg. If the system was "golden" and you decided Tonight to implement it, how much work and how much time would you say is to be done before trades start rolling?
The suggestion is he goes live with 2 micro contracts instead of 2 minis. No one is suggesting he goes live with say 20 micro lots.
If the testing budget permits (unlimited in best of all worlds), would there be any benefit to using micro vs mini for a 2-lot initial entry? This to be managed by position sizing module as time flows by.
If he is unlucky and hits a 10K or 20K drawdown straight away trading 2 large mini contracts. That would be just a 1 or 2K drawdown with 2 lot micros. So best to start with micros and scale up to minis as profits grow. Which should be no issue with this system, even if it is half as good as claimed.
There is hardly any slippage difference between them, 95% of the time. I never trade around big market moving news event so cant comment about those. But unless his system is always looking to trade market moving news events i cant see why slippage should be such a big issue as he claims.
It makes no sense to risk 30K of his starting capital (his stated max strategy drawdown on the first page of this thread), when he can risk just 3K with micros. Start by trading 2 micros, then after booking some profits trade 4 or 5 micros, then move up to 10 micros, then up to 2 minis. That scaling up process shouldn't take very long at all if the system is even half as good as it looks.
