They let their options expire worthless.

Why would someone buy that many way OTM calls, with 2DTE? He's about to lose $30K from the premium he paid, if he let's them expire. @destriero What is STC, and how could it help that rediddididittor?

Sell them to whom? Who the hell would buy them on expiry day?

 

They most likely had a bid on expiry day - easy to sell them. But obviously for a loss.

Yesterday there was an opportunity to close some of his positions to minimize
loss. He didn't do it.

Anyway, if he did the reverse of what wsb said, it would be a different story.
