Now that stocks trade without commissions, what's the best rate for options?

Say, 500 contracts a day? Anyone hear of rates under 50 cents per contract?

 

Anybody able to say what a good commission rate is for options?

I once heard from the horse's mouth (VP clearing firm level), that a small group of 4 or 5 guys was getting 35 cents. They were doing big volume, but it was also a year ago.
