  1. Well DB I do know that brandonf is a purveyor of market information and trading chatroom. Now how YOU made the leap from that to "market wizard" is beyond me, and really where my question was. You've been asked several times now by various people what you meant by "market wizard", and you have avoided answering any of them. You didn't distort the facts regarding brandonf did you db?

  2. Come on guys, enough of this bickering... we were having a sensible debate, but the last few points are pretty pedantic, eh? It is apparent that Oldtrader does well trading longer trends and db does well scalping... the opposed styles seem to be the source of the squabbling, which has degenerated into something which is hardly relevant to the bigger debate... I refer you both to my prior post about how you are both correct at the individual level but at the absolute level there are no rights or wrongs... Happy and successful trading to everyone! :)

Now let's get back to higher level issues instead of petty point scoring!

To quote Magna's words (which I agree with):

  3. Candletrader:

It may not surprise you that I don't particularly agree with your last point. LOL.

But more importantly, I DO agree that the bickering has gone farther than necessary and really contributes nothing. My guess is that most of the points worth making have been made at this time.

Thanks for injecting some rational thought into the discussion.

I second Candle's assessment. In fact, I will not allow it to continue as each protagonist's points have been made repeatedly, so it's time to move on to something else. As I said a few pages back....

    Thanks for the response.

Agree patience and discipline are key.

I never forgot the golf book I read that said something like after you get past the basic level of knowledge, time is much better served to work on the mental aspect of the game.

Realizing this is true, because when reviewing trades my losers are generally trades that were a violation of one of my rules.

I really hate having to work on days even people at the Post Office don't have to work. The bonds are also closed, so, IMHO they should give all of us equity guys a three day weekend too..but thats just my opinion. I have two small scalps this morning and I'm probably gonna pack it in for the day.
