They are from the F side of the Myers'-Briggs equation, they don't, by nature think, they decide by feelings. Our school systems stopped teaching critical thinking. Expecting them to critically think is really silly. I just left the dinner table. One of them, formerly in the New York Mayors office in some capacity and a devout Democrat expressed something that was factually just wrong. The guy that knows what is up was at the table, he called bullshit on what she had asserted and it became a matter of principle with her to become stubborn and argumentative... she knows not the difference between data and information and has little capacity to sort out good info from bad... Good luck with that shit btw.. If fiscally conservative Republicans weren't such incompetents they would run ads that appeal to the Feelings idiots. They would show a newborn and explain how that kid owes a half a million in taxes.. They would show how our mothers have to work to pay the tax bill...
He's talking about the fact that your buddy Obama added 63% to the federal deficit (17+ Trillion) in his first 5 years in office. And that burden will be placed upon future generations. Read it slowly if it helps you.
Seems like someone mentioned that bitch lives in Detroit. She thinks excessive welfare debt and bankruptcy are normal.
Seems some believe, "we can just print... no worries". They don't understand, "all debt gets accounted for". By somebody, sometime... just a matter of how, who, and when. (America is not going to like it when we get the comeuppance foisted upon us by our scumbag politicos.)
So Obama added that debt and it wasn't a result of the recession (drop in revenues, increase UE insurance, food stamps, etc..) and the spending programs that were already in place? But to my question, why do the (Very) Serious People think that debt is a burden on future generations? Do unreasonable people really believe the economy will stop growing? No reasonable politician is going to create fiscal blackholes so why should we worry about the debt? Is it because Serious people vote for the unreasonable politicians who create these fiscal blackholes ( ie Generalissimo Bush and His Excellent Adventures in the Middle East) ?
Yeah but isnt it comforting knowing the economist they get this shit from (krugman) was the same guy who laughed at the "paranoid scolds" who thought detroit would go bankrupt.
1) Ahhh, the old "blame Bush" response. Haven't heard that in a while....probably because he left office over 5 years ago! 2) WTF is a "reasonable politician"? Isn't that sort of an oxymoron? A politician's number one concern is to get re-elected. They all suck and couldn't give a shit what happens to the country 20 years from now.
