All I know is that when I removed all my indicators/TA and just looked at price, I went from sometimes profitable to consistently profitable. My P&L doesn't lie to me.

My only regret is not doing so from day 1.

It's about figuring out a way, there is no THE way, so all chest beating in favour of price action only can relax ImPO :)

  4. Says a guy who likes to take divergence trades while the market is trending strongly using a MACD indicator.

That's okay JSSPMK, we still luv ya! :D

P.S. Oh yeah, the thread topic is Nothing Beats Price Action, Everything Else is Derivative, so what you're seeing is not "chest beating", it's actual experience. Notice the lack of a "smiley face", I'm very serious about that one.

  5. If you live a derivative life and have never had an original thought in your head since childhood and you have never made a bold daring original move in your adult life to date then you will need to hold onto your "training wheels" with a very tight grip.

If you want to see the proof then just read this thread plus a few others directly relating to the noble art of trading here on ET.

No, you misunderstood what I meant. Unlike some, I don't switch from one method to another continuously, I stick to 1 only, but that's just to clarify what I do.

"nothing beats price action" is a shallow statement, as for every tool and price only is also a tool you need a master to use that tool. You can have 1 trader who uses indicator/s outperforming another one using only price action and of course other way round. THAT's why I said what I did.

Oh yeah, here is a :), I am a peaceful chap.

    Best to all!

P.S. So somebody like Buy1Sell2 is unexperienced trader?

Stealth, any chance of you posting a real time chart here with some thoughts on what you are watching and what key s/r lines you have drawn in. Very helpful stuff so far. Thanks.

  10. Thanks for the post Joab.

I can see that you are a very skilled user of price action for your trading and combine the technique with adroit money management designed to maximize the big runs when they happen.

    That's pretty impressive.
