The democrats literally destroy everything they touch. What do you expect though? They model their policies after the worst places in the world and they expect different results.
In the context of murders, which is what this thread is about, yes a city with a population over 800,000 only having 12 murders is safe.
Okay so, the topic started with San Francisco. You think, as always, that you have a rap that will make the decline of American cities go away based on some personal experience you have in New York. FAIL. You see no decline in San Francisco. GOT IT! Fucking Newark, New Jersey is the Mecca of the New World to you. People who live in New York, San Francisco, Portland, Chicago, Los Angeles, etc have well- formed opinions based on their own experience and decades of living there and if you have some rap that makes everything better for them, go for it. Just be careful you don't trip over the pile of needles or get killed while you are out doing it there. Sheesh. You are so far out on Pluto, it is not worth the effort.
Right. The reference point for a lot of these guys is Fox News. The truth is if you’re looking for where the decline is in America it’s rural America, especially in red states.
Like I said in the above reply things like drug use and overdose is disproportionately impacting rural America. The life expectancy decline reads like an old civil war map. But yes ills are going to be more visible in cities. Even in the best of times you can find all sorts of travesties in cities. And yes people who live in cities have every right to demand safety. But the comparison from then to now doesn’t show a true decline.
I see. The problem in the long list of cities is just fake news promoted by Fox. Nothing to see there, eh Kool-Aid Boy?
Almost, every city I've lived in (there are many) since elementary has dramatically changed in crime, homelessness, demographics, population growth, diseases/hospitals, sports, garbage, severe weather patterns, cleanliness, and so on... This is in 5 different countries. My point, the world is not improving and a Pandemic was not able to slow down the change. The change had become worst. The exception for me is the cities that have improved... Seoul, Korea Barcelona, Spain Ville de Québec, Canada Marseille, France Chamonix, France Within the United States, almost every city I've lived in has not improved but most of that has been due to the relocation of retail stores, shopping malls, and so on although crime has risen mainly because more people have access to guns. Yet, a few have basically stayed the same (e.g. Evanston, Illinois) although healthier if there's such a description of a city. Crime has risen in Evanston although many residents blame it on nearby Chicago and the easier access to assault weapons. Since the Pandemic, I view crime differently because it has impacted every city in the world that I've lived in including the ones with a large military presence of U.S. soldiers. I didn't list the cities with the Universities I attended for personal reasons but they've changed in that the student demographics (less diversity), more condos, and more uppity students... Today, there's more of an income difference on those particular campuses. Simply, you need a lot more money or academic/athletic scholarships to attend college because the costs have increased dramatically in the past 30 years since graduate school resulting in more students living in apartments or condos. Making the student population more susceptible to crime regardless if it's an urban city or rural city. Not discussed much, there are a lot more murders on college campuses...more universities are hiding that fact unless it's a news story that makes national headlines such as a multiple murder. This is occurring in rural cities (towns/villages) too. I have a teenager attending a military university and another teenager preparing to attend one of the top universities in the world. If you want to know about the crime at the University...talk to the city police department prior to talking to the campus police...compare the differences in what each police departments tell you. wrbtrader
Chicago just elected another in the long line of mayors who will lead to more death and decline. No doubt you are happy about that because - well- rural states. Quite a mindless road show you got going.
One could conclude this is one reason Biden has done little to help stop fentenal trafficking Is it also could be one of the reason he is soft on the border
