Yep just what I thought your "Ignorance is bliss" expression is taken out of context from the rest of the line.

"...where ignorance is bliss, 'Tis folly to be wise."


Maybe you read it differently than I do, but I don't interpret this line as describing ignorance itself but a condition describing wisdom 'where ignorance is bliss'ful.

You should have to own property or show a decent salary to be able to vote. That would filter out most of these losers. I don't think they should have any influence over the conduct of the government until they become stakeholders and have some skin in the game.
