  1. Hello

    Hello

He doesnt understand that as this keeps going on, his piece of the government cheese will keep getting smaller and smaller, he is in for one hell of a rude awakening.

Right around that time maybe he will be getting promoted from working the front till to actual hotel manager, (though i doubt it given the intelligence he has put on display)and will have to pay for all these guys, it will be the ultimate Karma.

  2. This is more accurate. We do allow the pretty front desk girls who check you in to call themselves managers though, thats where the 13.00 bucks an hour comes in at,but even they get more then that

  3. Then you'd better get your head outta your ass pretty damn quick because by then you will be paying 20% of your gross income to geezers like me for fica and medicare.

That's just for starters then there's all of those social welfare programs you support, interest on the debt, national defense, gubbermint pensions, union pensions, freddie/fannie bailout,PBGC bailout etc etc etc.

  4. Canada also has a much, much better record of respecting individuals rights to privacy, protection from illegal search and seizure, etc, etc. Some patriot act bullshit would have a really hard time going down in canada. It really helps when you DON'T financialy incentivise governments to incarcerate as many people as possible. The USA has more people in jail per capita, and in absolute numbers, than any other nation in the world!!! Just over 1%! The land of the free??

Canada has also done far better with regard to respecting state (provencial) sovreignty. Laws and taxation vary widely from province to province. You have provinces which tax you as much as france all the way to provinces which tax you on par, and even less than many american states. Even official language... Canada has so far fared very well through the great recession.

Harper is far too socially conservative for me, but you can't really cast a stone at his fiscal policy. It's been quite sound. His french is also much better than most anglophone PMs. I was also very impressed with him giving the finger to climate thugs in copenhagen.

Canada does better than the USA with regard to many issues. However, the USA has always lead in commerce, development, technology, medicine, etc. And now they are trying to fuck that up!

I think the tea party movement offers hope. My hope is that it isn't too little, too late.

  8. And an idiot who also supports bailouts, thought that earmarks was the answer to the deficit problem and wanted the government to pay off every bad mortgage certainly wasn't the answer
