Not Possible....profit On The Screen

Discussion in 'Professional Trading' started by datstrader, Jun 4, 2009.

  1. Dude what are you doing?? They don't contradict!! Not even close why r u digging anyways nothing more to do with your time. The facts are the facts no lies here, so dig as deep as you want in fact we can meet and we could talk about this in person. Really not going to change much that trying to make profit on the screen isn't possiable and if you are profitable most is lost to fees to the house

    Thanks for your time

They seemed contradictory to me and so I mentioned it. Just a simple translation of the English language. You posted here and I pointed out what I perceived to be an inconsistency in your statements. I don't care what you do or don't do. What I do with my time is none of your business, by the way and I have no desire whatsoever to meet with you personally and talk about these things. Thanks for the offer, though.

  4. I cannot believe so many are placating him. He has already said he doesn't believe people can profit from behind the screen. And he wants backers? He has insulted and gotten angry at quite a few.

I cannot believe someone like him would ever make $$$ out of the pit. And since we have only his word he made $$$ in the pit, it is hard to take him seriously.

Wait for the next insult... Likely in caps.

  5. They are not insults they are defensive responses. I do not need to provide P&L statements here. Their isn't many true people here at this site. I made a simple true statement and now I'm in court being grilled on if I'm true or if i made money in my life. I think it doesn't matter the truth hurts and most are not ready to accept it. They will once they run out of doe or jump off the Sym and see the true losses that they didn't dream up.......Good Luck

  6. That's the spirit man! I stressed the fact of being a fighter to the student that I'm mentoring. You have to be a fighter! You've done this before and you can do it again if you can commit to learning new skills. Good luck.

  7. "If you want to become a trader, you must start to trade. There is no substitute.
    You must also make mistakes.
Making mistakes is part of trading. If you don’t start trading using actual money—and
enough money that it affects you when you win or lose—you
won’t learn all the lessons of trading.
Paper trading is not a substitute for trading with real money. If
you aren’t using real money, you won’t learn how hope, fear,
and greed affect you personally."-Richard Dennis 1983

First post here - I would suggest you look at a prop firm that provides training and relearn everything again...and restart with baby steps...with people that have a system and that are able to pass some knowledge to you....it's like learning to walk again after a car accident.....

Obviously there is something wrong with your trading or you would be profitable...You can pm me if you wish - I live in Chicago.

My suggestion to anybody just off the floor is to not freeze up. On the floor you were flipping positions often based on information and or brokers giving you the edge for varying sizes. Off floor key off of standard deviation as your risk control and be available to trade on every oscillation. Obviously like on the floor an aggressive cost structure helps.

No freezing, let the trades flow....happy trading..greg
