You hit the nail on the head if we cant cut this what can we cut, fwiw im 50/50 as to whether or not someone should have a HOME phone free of charge if they have kids and stuff its kind of understandable, however atleast with homephones we could track, and limit them, 1 per household, with the obamaphones, there are people bragging about having 30-40 of them, and it seems anyone can get one if they are persistent. There doesnt seem to be any tracking system whatsoever in place.

Last time i saw a number on this program it was up to 2 billion dollars under obama, from costing about 200 million when he started, if the cost of the program ever got to 10 billion which im sure it will, that would be enough to pay for every person in the united states to have a cell phone.

look if the govt wants to give out cell phones stop cheating the people with jobs.

give out the fricken phones to the tax payers as well.
and while you are at it I would like health care for my family of 6 so lets jack up the rates on the young people and then force them to pay.

If they don't then let them choose between the foreign legion or jail.
Because its a tax and not paying a tax could be contempt.

by the way I would also like free airfare.
and give us some of the food stamps too.

But then again... why screw the young people... since we have already stolen their future...

Money you ask... just print more and end the IRS.
since you can just print it anyway.

When you always spend more than you take in...
the IRS is just becomes class warfare on the productive or middle class control.

Id rather have that then what is inevitably coming down the pipe, a program where 2 billion is actually spent on cell phones, and 5 billion is spent on a bunch of useless fucking beaurecrats deciding who should and shouldnt get them.

Actually, I oppose the free subscription part. The phone is the main price hurdle if all you need is emergency connection or to answer a job call, and those are easily provided for with a pay as you go plan.
