When people use the term "activism", it is normally being used pejoratively about people or organizations concerned about the environment, corporatism and other abuse or social rights defence... But what on earth should we call people like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Horowitz and his http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FrontPage_Magazine along with the "democratic movements" they found? They call themselves "conservatives", but they express outright hatred against counter-cultures and this is a key feature about neo-conservatism - outright bigotry, or being "subjective" as Matt Labash put it. They claim that to have (their type of) "democracy", it must be defended - destroy any enemy with all available means... then some also put forward the "democratic peace theory" - that everyone must be made into what they think democracy is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democratic_peace_theory Pretty fucked up stuff... but they are purely subjective, not objective - and they project their subjective ideas onto the rest of the world. Perpetual wars and a culture of fear. Authoritarianism, political radicalism, militarism and totalitarianism through legislation. The neo-conservatives ideologists come from communist backgrounds, and they never stopped being totalitarian radicals. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Culture_of_fear http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perpetual_war http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Power_of_Nightmares
