Ricter and fc should get a room, where they can share their fantasy of being master debaters in private.

The yottajoule (YJ) is equal to one septillion (10^24) joules. This is approximately the amount of energy required to heat the entire volume of water on Earth by 1 °Celsius.

The axis scale of your chart is in 10^22 joules. The chart demonstrates an increase of under 0.17 yottajoules - worst case over time. This would represent a temperature incease of 0.17 °Celsius.

The actual observed ocean temperature increase since 1960 is 0.06 °Celsius - which is less than the instrument error, and much less than the proposed models or your chart.

The climate change cabal has tried to claim that more heat was hiding in the 700m to 2000m ocean layer as an explanation why measured global temperatures have not been rising for 16 years - this has proven not to be true.

Why don't you plot your chart using temperature as a scale on the axis. Looks far less scary and alarmist. You can go to the ARGO website to generate graphs of actual data.

The wikipedia link I posted includes a complete summary about ARGO (Array for Real-time Geostrophic Oceanography) and includes links to the ARGO website that provides raw data and charting capabilities.

Here - I generated the chart for you. The big, scary Ocean Temperature Change chart from 1960 to 2012. Just one day late for Halloween. Frightful.

Slow, but steady. They knew the heat had to be going somewhere, it's not like the blanket has been getting thinner, and no one has been saying the planet is definitely being shaded by clouds more, not yet anyway.

but what causes warming in the ocean.
most of that warming is coming from an increase in temps in the indian ocean.
should the warming be concentrated if it is due to co2?
And the warming has been going on for over 100 years?

There were many periods in the earth's history when mankind has been present where the oceans are significantly warmer than they are today.

fricken troll. I can see you just want to play games rather than deal with science.

So I will just you real world science from NASA again. Showing you co2 is a coolant in the real world. Thereby showing you that you have no idea if adding co2 to the atmosphere causes warming or cooling.

“Carbon dioxide and nitric oxide are natural thermostats,” explains James Russell of Hampton University, SABER’s principal investigator. “When the upper atmosphere (or ‘thermosphere’) heats up, these molecules try as hard as they can to shed that heat back into space.”

    ...

“The thermosphere lit up like a Christmas tree,” says Russell. “It began to glow intensely at infrared wavelengths as the thermostat effect kicked in.”
For the three day period, March 8th through 10th, the thermosphere absorbed 26 billion kWh of energy. Infrared radiation from CO2 and NO, the two most efficient coolants in the thermosphere, re-radiated 95% of that total back into space.

Where is your environmental science degree from? I can only assume that it is from some mail order school that also provides HVAC certifications.

PRINCE CHARLES BLAMES SYRIA CIVIL WAR ON…GLOBAL WARMING

"The heir to the British throne is blaming the Syrian civil war that’s claimed more than 100,000 lives on global warming.

In remarks to the World Islamic Economic Forum meeting in London this week, Prince Charles described the bloody Syria conflict as a “terrifyingly graphic” example of the negative effects of climate change."
