I agree with you on this.Unlike The middle east I don't think there would be chaos after Kim was removed and The Korean people would likely unite peacefully. The biggest problems with a N Korean war imo is getting Kim out without him using nuclear weapons against Japan and S Korea. If we try to take him out I think he will go out fighting and will throw everything he has at Japan and S Korea.Than there would be the problem between The US and China over N Korea. If The US and China stayed out of it they would likely unite under the S Korean government, but China wouldn't want a friendly US ally on their border

    Ding ding ding.

Look. Trump made North Korea first on the menu. China's directly involved by proxy and proximity. Spratly islands are on the table. Tillerson said during confirmation the American navy won't allow Chinese access if they continue military entrenchment. This is all setting up to be one big deal. Either way , little Kim's days are numbered.

If big brother wants to keep his shit the little boy will have to get the gears.

Max, agreed about the dome. China doesn't like it. Takes out their first strike capability.

Our missile defense systems can stop some missiles but not hundreds of ICBM's

I'm not sure. America undoubtedly has next level stuff nobody has seen.

This is about China. North Korea, sure. But this is about China. Trump could have sent the entire 5th fleet to eliminate ISIS. Instead the buildup is on China's doostep. Americas military strength is being putting on front line display right now in the Asias. The Chinese leadership are in a serious bind now. Trump is calling their bluff military right now.

North Korea doesnt have "hundreds of ICBMS" capable of doing anything, every few months the little midget Kim Jon Un drops a couple rockets in the pacific ocean, all to try to prove his military might, its like a guy with a small penis who puts a lift on his truck. Its mostly a laughing stock to the rest of the world, thats why i think it would be funny if we just shot them down. It would totally immasculate him.

China would NEVER throw troops on the border for Korea, it would be a non starter, Although i hate the Chinese authoritarian regime, there is very little doubt in my mind that they are much more foreword looking than we are, they also seem to have a much keener sense of self preservation than we do, there is no chance in hell China would sack their economy to defend some shit bag like kim jong ill if it came down to it.

That said i think it would be a disaster to go to war with north korea, so far in u.s. history there isnt a single example (Post world war 2) where meddling in a country with our military has proven to be a benefit to the U.S. Infact the direct opposite has occured with a regularity that only Obama, McCain, Bush, Graham, dont seem to understand.

I was talking about China after achilles said "China doesn't like it. Takes out their first strike capability". N Korea doesn't have hundreds of ICBMS but the few crude nukes and missiles they have can probably do a lot of damage to S Korea and Japan.I agree he is a laughing stock thinking he is on the level as The US,China and Russia etc but he is dangerous having nukes.

I agree it doesn't make sense for China to go to war with The US to defend N Korea but they did it before even with The US having nukes and they didn't.Tensions over the China sea,Taiwan, not wanting The US on there border and the defense pact they have with N Korea might be enough to get them involved if The US attacks N Korea.

Not sure what the Chinese have to gain by continuing to prop up NK.
China has come too far and done too much and is on the verge of radically transforming their historical agrarian culture to that of an (or THE) economic superpower.
If you have been to China lately this will be evident. There is a lot of late 19th century America PLUS generation ahead progress going on there.

Right, but they keep doing it.Thats why I'm worried they will defend them against The US.Hopefully China reaches their breaking point and kicks them to curb but they haven't done it yet.

In my opinion all the stuff with Taiwan and Japan, is China wanting to get their way, just like we do, but the difference between us and them is that their government seems to have a keen sense of self preservation, its exactly why their economy has become the second biggest in the world. We are an old dying self entitled super power who still thinks the world needs to operate on OUR terms. Dinosaurs like McCain, and Graham live in a generation that is long past, a generation where we could afford to piss away money to prove "what good people we are"

The way i look at it, the U.S. is like the person who inherits money and slowly bleeds it all away all the while thinking we are somehow smarter and more moral. Like a brat who inherited money, we can only afford to be "Moral" for so long till the well runs dry.

When i look at that as opposed to China I see a country that is laser focused on one concept, and thats economic growth, I honestly wish that we werent so fucking spoiled alot of the time, because if we had the same focus as them we could thrive.

But we are a lazy, dying super power, that has gotten tangled up in all kinds of fucked up ideas because we didnt have to keep our eye on the ball the way they did. You only need to look at a university Campus to see this playing out. I remember like 15 years ago taking a calculus class i needed for my economics degree, teacher says right off the bat half of you will fail, it was an incredibly hard class, when i looked around the room at the end of the semester all the white canadians had dropped out or failed out, and the only people left standing were asian. Thisbasically sums up where we are as countries. China has their eyes on the prize, and would never do anything to screw it up.
