We're here for two reasons. One, previous administrations all the way back to Clinton believed the lies coming out of NK as we "negotiated" some kind of head in the sand deal. Secondly, America has been pussified. We don't have the stomach for a real war. Go pound on a few ragheads running around, sure. Take on a real player where the body count will exceed during the first hour what we've seen over a fifteen year period in our police man intervention, no way. Well pussies, crazy Kim ain't backing down and he ain't going away. What cha gonna do now round eye?
Now that this has been dumped in Trumps lap by all the previous cowards who held the office I would advise launching a full scale nuclear strike. That minimises casualty count on the South and our troops in theater. The alternative is millions dead in South Korea for sure and who knows how many others in the region. Give notice to the Chinks and Russkies and get on with it.
This is one of those situations where one reason no one has done anything about it is because there are no good options. We have 35k troops in SK as a tripwire to deter NK. I question the morality of that. SK has three times the North's population and a massive economy. It does seem to me they are perfectly capable of defending themselves if it comes to that. We gave them 65 years to get ready to deal with the North. Enough is enough. Why should we have our troops there as sitting ducks in an indefensible posture? Now they are carping about paying for the THAAD system Trump put there. Their new administration does not even want it. So they would like our troops, but no missile defense for them. OK, that doesn't work for me. The first step is to pull our troops out. The next step is to tell China that SK is free to develop nukes, as is Japan. Or, if they find that prospect unappealing, they can enact regime change in NK. A massive preemptive attack on NK is another option. SK is dead set against that. Their objections are understandable, but when we are talking about preventing a possible attack on our own country, SK does not have a veto over our actions. It is only a matter of time before NK has the ability to cause massive damage to our country. No doubt we will wait until that point to do something. Attacking NK would be a clear act of war that would require a declaration of war by the congress. Perhaps such a vote would focus their minds.
I don't disagree. Get in balls and all, or get out and let the chips fall where they may. I'm just saying that it's decision time. Little Kim just isn't going away quietly into the night. Any way you slice it this will be bloody.
Trump is trying to put the problem on Japan,S Korea and China and now his supporters are asking what should Trump do.You cant make this shit up
trump has been in office about 6 months... he was left this and other problems like syria and Iran. since obama left them... and you are obama's number one fan boy... why not ask what he should do... so you don't second guess his moves after they are done.
Iran isn't a problem, neither is Syria if trump stays out of it.Coming into office with hundreds of thousands of troops in Iraq and Afghanistan,Iran actively working on nuclear weapons and N Korea just getting nuclear weapons is coming into office with problems.Obama also had that horrendous losing 500,000 jobs a month economy to deal with at the same time.
