Most people are assholes. I am an exception. You need to recalibrate your asshole detector. It is amazing how many real assholes call me an asshole.
I cannot find one quality, thoughtful prior post coming from anyone on this thread who has something negative to say about Donna. Seriously...not ONE which could take out any of the top 300 from Donna. That is beyond a significant statistical level to prove that the cumulative amount of krahp [sic] you've all posted has been nothing but a self-serving waste of your own time and of the unfortunate ones who don't have you permanently on ignore. [If you think that's no big deal because you (obviously) don't respect her anyway, then you're all equally F'ed by comparing the quality of your posts to the best of bighog and Redneck.]
Reading this thread in its entirety, I find myself thinking its no wonder that NoDoji wants to leave this site, or has left this site. I never conversed with her, and having read many of her posts I believe I am the poorer person for it. But, this seems to happen with quality people over and over again at ET, so I can't say I'm surprised.
I'd say Donna simply got tired of casting her pearls in front of an unreceptive vocal audience, to mix some metaphors. She discovered the holy grail of trading, which she excitedly shared with the masses here in every possible manner she could articulate. The result of that was repeated rejection. After awhile, someone with a message to help others tires of repeating themselves while getting spat on in the process. I've wondered how long it would take before she'd simply throw her hands up, say "what the he(ck)" and walk away. This board certainly offers her nothing of useful value to take away. Fact is she told anyone who would listen over and over and over again the simple (but not easy) path to sucess in this profession. The rejection she got comes from basic human nature of people who aren't willing to do what it takes to win. They want trading to be fun, to be a game, a sport, a contest, a measuring stick, amusement and proving ground all rolled into one. If they can't have it that way, they quit. Then a few turn cynical and bitter. Those few waste their time here telling anyone who will listen how trading is one big lie and nobody wins. That everyone just loses. Some of these message-board victims actually start several aliases at a time. "What kind of pear-shaped loser would do that" you ask? The kind that haunt places like this and try to drive off people who have something that pains them to hear. Successful trading is one helluva lot simpler AND easier than most of the masses still wandering lost in the desert here are willing to accept as true. Donna gets it. Simple as that
AUSTINP you are right. Here is a cut from one of her responses.regarding setups to trade. Pretty much says it all. "Price finds support at a higher low, go long. Price found support at a higher low and is about to test the previous high, buy the new high. Price finds resistance at a lower high, sell short. Price found resistance at a lower high and is about to test the previous low, sell the new low. Price is making higher lows and higher highs in a channel, buy at the bottom of the channel. Price is making lower highs and lower lows in a channel, sell at the top of the channel. Price made a strong run up and consolidates in a narrow range, buy a break through the high of the range. Price made a strong move down and consolidates in a narrow range, buy a break through the low of the range. I've never seen a 5-min intraday chart where these kinds of setups fail to occur and have expected follow through at least enough times in a given day to end up mildly profitable if you trade them."
Regardless of haters I'll never leave ET because of the Entertainment it provides. I'm sure Nodoji will still come back check in once in a while. I've had times where I did little to no Reading/posting on ET. It happens. IMO announcing an exit on ET which she did a while back too, isn't really anything beside a call for attention to see who will miss her. I love nodoji don't get me wrong but no need to announce an exit. Just leave, keep in contact with those who you're close with and come back once in a while to shoot the shit if she wants no biggie. It was very nice of her to leave a Trading Plan Development for some people to chew on. But I do agree with the guy who said, "you can't just leave the internet" lol kind of true unless you throw your computer out the window for good. " just keeping it 100"
Moreso why people think she gave up (failed), why say goodbye if you continue to trade. It's seem more plausible that she lost too much money and decided it was time to give it up. Even a break-even trader will check back once in a while.
