Nobel price economics awarded monday, who should get it?

  2. I think it ought to go to some no name homeless person from some place on earth...and the Nobel committee should say that this homeless dude had more sense than ALL previous Nobe prize winners for economics :D

    This is very academic. I had one economics professor say no one can predict curriencies and that models don't work. It's amazing how wrong these people are when you enter the real world.

    Just to add, I sat in on a macro class earlier in the year where the professor said he wouldn't own gold. Even the Subway Economist (Roubini - if he put his money where his mouth is, he would be living in a subway, thus the nickname) doesn't like gold - calling it a bubble since last year. One of the first things they should know is that fiat currency has no value. Why they still shun gold is beyond logic.
