That's right Trump thought he'd take the tough guy approach with North Korea when he started blurting out the ''fire and fury like you never seen before , believe me '' stuff. But he was thrown completely off guard when Kim called him a '' Total Dotard'' That made him quiet . He then began with the ''blessing '' thing. Even the South Korean guy said ''There will be no war in the Peninsula. What else did Trump do other than add more sanctions ?

And in any case N-K was not a new or actually truly raised threat to the US or anyone else until it just recently became a threat to China with it's collapsed and leaking underground nuclear test facility. N-K always had the ability to put nukes in US cities in cargo containers etc. They got a few old rocket engines from a Russian boneyard (with Putin's direct help you can be assured) and strung together a few better than expected rocket tests. Trump's tweeting and name calling has been, at best, childish and unhelpful. The additional sanction measures placed on North Korea since Trump took office are a continuation of UN sanctions on North Korea in response to North Korea's nuclear tests. Each time NK has ramped up their testing, the Security Council has ramped up sanctions in response. There have been nine rounds of sanctions, two of which occurred after Trump took office. The U.S. has generally drafted the written text for these sanctions with suggestions and participation of the other Security Council Members. Trump, our singularly most dishonest President, regularly tries to take credit for others' accomplishments and to blame others for his own mistakes. It is a symptom of his severe personality disorder.
