Your forgetting who is the worst candidate, the person we cannot take a chance on ever being president, Palin. That is reason enough to vote Obama, and I hope you are a patriot and do the right thing and vote Obama. Just say no to Palin. On the flag issue, who gives a crap about flags anyway? It's just a symbol, I care about people, real Americans.
The flag symbolizes us all, our country as a whole. We care for the flag and through that we show our caring for each other.
You may be right, if he had even a snowballs chance of making it I would have considered voting for him. But considering McCain has a real chance and there is chance he could die in office, Obama is the only safe choice. Voting Obama is like buying insurance, insurance to insure Palin is kept out of the White House. I probably would of voted Obama anyway but the more I learned about Palin it became obvious there is no other choice.
Yes, your caring and human decency towards Obama is very heart warming indeed, as well as your regard for the people of your country who cannot afford adequate health insurance for their families. The next time you find yourself treading over fellow citizens to kiss your flag in a symbolic display of patriotism, you may wish to pause and reflect for a moment. Sometimes an actual display speaks louder and is more convincing than a symbolic gesture.
