No wonder people think Americans are stupid

  1. Yes, the faculty does know, they lamented about it to us in student government, and that was 25 years ago. We are seeing the fruit of an orchestrated attempt to intellectually euthanize the middle class intelligentsia, as they cause a lot of drama at key periods in history.

Of course, Harvard, Yale, Wharton, MIT, et. al. will maintain intellectual rigor. But state schools will be invaded by.....Snookie.

    Snooki vs. Obama

    BY JARED KELLERJUL 30, 2010

While President Obama regularly endures barbs, his detractors are generally conservative pundits or prime-time talking heads. So it's rare that he faces such a sustained attack as the one he is now receiving from the Jersey Shore cast member and bronzed trainwreck known as Snooki.

Patrick Gavin, tracking the battle from his perch on Politico's ever-relevant Click! "First, Snooki took on Obama over Twitter. Then, Obama said he didn't even know who she was," writes Gavin. "And on Thursday night's second season premiere of MTV's "Jersey Shore," Snooki took the ball back, and went after Obama again." The President should have known that he would face the ire of the pint-sized reality star following his new tax on tanning beds:

"I don’t go tanning anymore because Obama put a 10% tax on tanning. McCain would never put a 10% tax on tanning. Because he’s pale and would probably want to be tan," she said. Snooki was referring to a provision in the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act that mandates tanning salons impose a 10 percent tax on UV-ray sessions.

Ever the epitome of class, Snooki portrayed Obama as out of touch with the reality TV community. Write Gavin: "Clearly, Obama can't relate to Snooki's problems, she added, commenting on Obama's skin color, 'Obama doesn’t have that problem. Obviously,' she said."
