All say: this is trade rule. Old Man say: this is no trade rule. All say: volume sustain price. Old Man say: volume is pricy, price voluminous. All say: visualize where market go. Old Man say: close eyes and listen to market. All say: complicate. Old Man say: simplify. All say: this or that lead price. Old Man say: price lead itself.

Example of no trade rule. Look at losing trade. Always follow profitable trade. Look at volume of lose trade. Always low. Mark win and lose trade on chart. Pick volume below all trade lose. Draw red line. Is not fireworks science. For NQ, red line is 700 trades the minute.

    You agree? You disagree?

We add more no trade rule. No rule upon no rule. Soon, as sale person say: we one no closer to yes.

Was agree? Was disagree? Or maybe not smart to understand. More no rule follow. But you not follow. Point is: all ET expert give yes rule. Old Man give no rule. End of no rule is yes rule.

Is best no rule is. But you no agree. Or no no agree. Is true? No trade below volume holdthresh? Think. On ET, does rule fool? Or does fool rule?

One hundred view. None offer rational comment. Proof ET is home to trade voyeur. Old Man give no more no rule until see intelligent post. First no rule is too complex? Trade is Boohoolean. In. Out. Long. Short. Is no maybe. Maybe is Hershelian. First no rule say when no trade. Next no rule is better. Say when no trade on top of no trade. Two negative still make a negative.

  7. Good point old man... it's always good to have a rule that tells you when to stop trading, pack your things and go home... it's basic risk management. :D

Thank you, Eusdaiki. But do you accept that that that that rule is volume based? Old Man still awaits quantitative responses.

  10. volume is important when determining the relevance of trade signals.

If you base your trading on volume, perhaps volume charts will help ;)
