However it affects me is irrelevant. I'm opposed to it in principle... regardless of the amount and to whom it applies or not. BTW... I'm a CFP... and as a former adjunct faculty member of the College For Finacial Planning, I'm familiar with the estate tax. So... what's YOUR deal? You don't have any money, but you believe the estate tax should apply to those who do?
What happens when your principles are opposite of my principles, and we contradict the principles of a third person. How do we resolve those issues? In other words, by what standards should principles be set? Or maybe said better, how does/should a person come to his principles?
How does a society function when it is falling apart, but we hold on to our principles? Should principles not be a reflection of what a society needs, not what our ideology and prejudices we have?
There are principles and then there are "political principles". Like all principles, we each adopt our own beliefs. I'm a Constitutional Conservative. I get the feeling you're a modern, greedy, low-life Lefty. (No offense... I believe ALL Leftys are "lower than a snake's belly in a wagon rut".) Please convince me I'm wrong.
Ok, but you are not answering the question. I know how I came to my principles. How did you come to yours? How do you propose resolving the fact that 50% or more of this country is a "modern low-life lefty"? Are we all delusional?
I told you. Are you not paying attention? I'm a Constitutional Conservative. The ONLY thing that made America great and kept us from the sewer of Leftism all across the planet.... was adherence to our genius US Constitution.
How did you come to be a Constitutional Conservative? Was it some sort of data that led you to this stance? Or is it just blind belief?
Data? DATA? You don't believe in the principles of the US Constitution? Tell me you don't, then defend your position!
I believe in many principles. But never principles that fly in the face of data and facts. What principle in the Constitution says that the Estate Tax should be zero for people giving away more than $11,000,000? Can you provide me a link so I can read it?
The "principles" of the Constitution righteously do not include anything about "estate tax". The government should not have first claim on your income, your property or your wealth/estate. How dense can you be? I've got more than $11,000,000.. and I'm going to do whatever is necessary to make sure the government gets not one red cent of it in my estate! I get you now. You're just running your mouth supporting Lefty oppression and tyranny. You've revealed your way onto my "ON IGNORE" list!!
