No OTCBB with IB. Why not?

  1. This IS NOT a complaint, as I don't dabble & will probably never dabble in OTCBB stocks.

I'm just wondering what keeps IB from offering OTCBB trading...

Mainly I'm wondering what would happen if I owned shares of a Nasdaq company who was then delisted to the OTCBB (how would this be handled by IB, has it ever happened to anybody here?)

  2. I had MIRANT shares after buying on a big dip ...

they were delisted and I decided to sell
called IB about it and they were able to close out
my position on the pink sheet market

I lost maybe 200 ... funny thing was if I had held them
for a few months I could have made 200

Mainly I'm wondering what would happen if I owned shares of a Nasdaq company who was then delisted to the OTCBB (how would this be handled by IB, has it ever happened to anybody here?)

  3. IB closed out the position over the phone, in a matter of minutes? Or was there some complicated procedure (paperwork) etc that you went through?

    Thanks!
