Hannity was quizing McCain on this very point last night. Of course, McCain is against it. His reason was that certain programs, like veterans' benefits, shouldn't be cut. Apparently, he was totally unaware of the concept called "prioritizing." He said such a plan reflected a lack of courage. Then he immediately said the republicans should basically fold because otherwise they would get blamed for a government shutdown. I guess to him real courage is lying to gullible voters and then forgetting your promises when the election is safely over.
I voted for that clown. Guess that is what we would have gotten out of a President McCain. What a putz.
So he thinks that "1%" means an automatic "1%" off of everything? Obviously Veterans benefits shouldnt be cut, but i bet McCain would also be opposed to simply slashing 1% off the overall military budget, because he is such a pro war dumbass, he never saw a war he didnt want to get in to. McCain has to be one of the dumbest politicians in congress, and thats saying alot given the list of total failures who are currently running the show.... How he lasted this long i will never know. Its funny how McCain works, he shifts hard right to get himself elected, then moves to the center and starts chastising conservatives, once he is in power, the guys only principal that he wont bend on, is that America should be involved in every single military operation in the world, regardless of whether or not it is any of our business. I really hope he retires, or people see through it next time around, he is a huge embarassment.
You having fun with this psychopath? You had no answer to the fact - it is a fact - that the Republicans had control for six years in a row, and ended with a deficit, that the Republican President in charge didn't veto a single bill in all that time, and that that period started with a surplus they were handed by the previous Democratic administration. All of that is simple fact. It's a political reality that the current little debate is Obama serving up a bit of revenge, cold, which is the best way to do it. It is a political reality that the Democrats aren't ever going to hand the Republicans a surplus again. It's a proven fact the Republicans are incapable of acheiving one on their own. If you've got no answer, you could just shut up. You might learn something listening, instead of babbling away with certifiable nuts.
