Yeah.... if your "superspreader" individual stays home then they spread COVID-19 to no one. Once again... for COVID-19 a superspreader refers to an event as a location during a designated time.
you have a firm grip on the obvious... Sick people should stay home.. if they are aware their symptoms. (although it has been stated over 40 percent of super spreading events happen in hospitals... so we do have an issue there.) High risk people should stay home for their own protection and probably the protection of others... A good deal of the literature on this subject shows that people with other health issues are a large segment of the super spreader population... I would say if you have lung issues or you are coughing or sneezing, you know your immune systems is compromised or you are taking medications which could impact your immune system- you must talk to a doctor who knows something about super spreading. You may be a big risk to society... so stay home until you know you are not a potential super spreader. for instance... How does a person become a super-spreader? There are a number of theories, but no definite answer. Some speculate that it is to do with the immune system of the super-spreader, which may not be good at suppressing the virus or alternatively may be so good that they do not feel symptoms themselves so carry on transmitting it to others. But it is likely to be caused by multiple factors, possibly including getting a higher dose of the virus in the first place or being infected with more than one pathogen. One thing seems certain – it is impossible to know who will be a super-spreader and who will not. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...ers-and-how-are-they-transmitting-coronavirus
Considering a lot of the BLM and Antifa thugs are congregating and mixing at close distances, shouldn't a good number of them have already come down with Corona Virus by now? I have not heard of a single one being infected despite, large numbers of people at close distances within breathing distance. Next up, casinos. Casinos probably, stand a better chance of spreading Corona Virus because the dirty air is circulated by the airconditioning systems. They are in an enclosed area like hospitals, airliners, cruise ships. Cruise ships have had numerous viruses before including, the Noro Virus before Corona Virus. Lots of enclosed areas. People should be opening windows and letting the fresh air in. The fastest way to dissipate viruses and germs. Now, it is doctors saying it.
or the opposite... remember all the UT students pilloried for going on spring break and catching Covid. I never saw any followup. did they get sick have symptoms. were they hospitalized? Die? I would suspect it would have made national headlines if a bunch of them became seriously ill.
What do the following have in common; Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and natural herd immunity for COVID-19. They are all myths. Obviously if antibodies for COVID-19 last only a few mere weeks after infection then "natural herd immunity" is a fantasy... and infected people will catch COVID-19 again after recovery. Just like the 15 sailors on the aircraft carrier. Coronavirus antibodies may last only two to three months after infection, study suggests https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/18/cor...-3-months-after-infection-study-suggests.html Coronavirus antibodies may last only two to three months after a person becomes infected with Covid-19, according to a new study published Thursday in Nature Medicine. Researchers in the Wanzhou District of China compared the antibody response of 37 asymptomatic people with that of 37 symptomatic people. The researchers found people without symptoms had a weaker antibody response than those with symptoms. Additionally, within eight weeks, antibodies fell to undetectable levels in 40% of asymptomatic people, compared with 12.9% of symptomatic people, according to the study’s findings.
