No more shaving on Island

  1. Island has eliminated shaving on stocks over $1 (as of Feb 27th) .

    Apparently can only shave on some stocks on Brut.

    This will kill daytrading, or at least the daytrader advantage.

    Market makers complained too much.

    Are they one of those rebate shops that train guys how to churn all day for.0005 per share?
     


  5. On Feb. 26 the SEC proposed a complete prohibition on sub-penny trading in stocks under $1. It's up for comment until May 24. http://www.sec.gov/rules/proposed.shtml
