It's my understanding the Speaker has to extend the invitation to the POTUS, at least for it to happen inside the House chambers. Which hasn't happened?
Because I am a flexible kind of guy, I am willing to meet the dems halfway on the congressional trip issue. I have no problem at all funding a one-way trip to AFG for Pelosi.

I would love to see the letter Trump wrote to Melania just before she was getting ready to go cancelling her trip.
Well, Trump only suggested she stay in DC and negotiate. WTH is she doing taking a 7 day trip out of the country? I guess the shutdown isn't that important after all.
It's just word games and he's wrong. The State of the Union address doesn't happen inside the House chamber without Pelosi's invatation, which she has not given. And yes, the Dems don't give a rat's ass about those struggling in the shutdown. Evidence by their actions, partying on the beach.
There are many proposals that will reopen the government. Mitch McConnell just has have the senate vote on them. But trump insists on a shutdown unless He gets his vanity project built. And you are blaming the Democrats.
Why is it Trump's wall when other Presidents on both sides have put forth the same. And don't start with this 2000 mile crap. The people working on the border have said additions to the existing barriers are needed. But Dems who have voted for additions and money for the wall now say no. A compromise can be made for additional and needed funding but the Dems won't budge because they do not want Trump to have a "seen" victory for a campaign promise.
