No more bullets per sec

  1. at all costs?

IMveryHO and in my infinite naivety...

This decision only makes the specialist's position stronger. I find it practically impossible to get short a NYSE stock without a bullet.

Hopefully, the uptick rule for NYSE stocks will change to those currently in place for NASDAQ stocks.

Trade nyse mostly, but have started looking at some naz stocks as the ranges are better suited for daytrading,,before this week i must say.I am going to miss my six shooter.I think the sec is paving the way to end the Up-tick rule. Cheers

  8. What makes you think that? I wish I could have such faith, but instead I am convinced that this is all about keeping the markets up for political reasons (ie next election).

I do not think daytraders..non-hedgies that is,have that clout w the bullets or anything else. Think of us as the birds that hang out on the rhinos back.

  10. The difference between a good short sale on the nyse and naz is that with nyse you need an uptick with nasdaq you need a higher bid
