That is the point. You do not want to see it get to the point where the military takes over. Very ugly scenario with martial law and so forth. Vacuum of leadership would be very bad, although that is the direction we are headed.
The military won't "take over"... unless some General has designs to usurp power. The only way we'll see the military influence is in support of and at the direction of, the current administration... making revolution all that much more difficult.
