Seriously, we had one bad week. There were absolutely no market moving news besides Greenspan's monotonous bullshit. Earnings season just ended. So it makes sense why the big money is not making moves and we are left with simply swing traders and day traders.

I mean you cannot expect every week to be great. This past week was my worst one to date. I lost money for the week something I have not done for months. In fact since I went profitable, I have never had a week like this. Still, I'm not flipping like grimer who is bitching about making only 2k a day.

Even if it stays like this, I'm not the least bit worried. There is still tons of money to be made. Gotta adapt. I can easily pick out my mistakes and adjust and accept a little less cash per day until the times get better.

But overall, I feel that it's just a slow time of the year until earnings come up again. Or until we get back into a bear market and volume will pick up.

  2. I'm on track to have my best year since 2000!

...Only because I've completely ditched my once thriving daytrading career, and now play online poker full time.

To me it is new and cool tools that are out now that make the big difference. I use to trade for 8-15 cents but have seen the light. Now I am in for the bigger move and that has made a huge difference in returns. There are sick opportunities every day and the key to exploiting them is just being able to find what they are.
Can't keep trading the same stock over and over again like in the old scalping days.

  4. Silk. I know what is going on with Grimer. He is losing his psychological game face. I don't care if the guy is trading KY Jelly futures between 9:45AM and 10AM. The bottom line is that the man or woman or she-man is pissed off the way that the market is trading.

Many traders that have replied to Grimer have told him to take a break and reset himself mentally. That has everything to do with the way that he is trading.

  6. No vol. I think we go up for one last push verticle push in the stocks and then collapse. Although, the top could be in since we are seeing weird price divergences.

I can't wait until this market is collapsing and everybody is panicking again. It's gonna be awesome to trade.

are we trading the same market?

tasr, rmbs, ntes .... and a bunch more have more than 5pts swing all day. It's like 2000 all over again :)

PS. to $indu and $nasd, please stay this way all yr and that will be fine by me.

    happy trading,

No unfortunately some of us are trading the wonderful world of 3-5 cent range NYSE. Thats why Im looking into doing some Naz as well. Although the TASR moves are temporary from what I have observed the last few days.

This one bad week is turning into 2 bad weeks. Seems like next week will be the same.
There definitely are always stocks making moves but try getting into them and staying in. I have seen amazing actions by the specialists to shake traders out. Perfect buying trends taking huge nosedives and visa versa just because maybe 2-5 day traders got in. Maybe it's the measly quarter bil fines or just vengefulness for the backlash against NYSE system. Regardless, the low volume allows them to do whatever they want right now.
