No Bids?

  1. Well today I'm trying to roll a calendar on GCI. I have a double Apr/Jul 60 put and Apr/Jul 65 call..20 contracts. I put an order in to roll the apr to may(put only) initially at .15 where it sat all day then at eod down to .10. When I checked the working order it showed 0 bid...yet when I looked at interest and vol it was there. The problem seems to be May where I think only 4 contracts have been traded. Funny cause its a fairly liquid stock (I thought:( )

... why would there be no bids if there is volume and interest?

I guess I'll just have to suck it up and buy the Apr puts and perhaps sell the May later legging into the roll....stock is at 56 and the bid for apr (60P)is now 3.95 so I could get assigned before I have a chance to roll?

i'd put the odds of this stock climbing back to 65 by May at
1 in 1,000,0000 . (Although, I could be wrong of course)
    the market probably agrees

  3. I certainly don't disagree...the beauty of the call side of the cal is I can now do a June/jul bear call diag after exp. was able to get out at 4.0 on the put side and will prob wait until June opens up next week and sell the June 60 for some time prem.
