Kind of new to equities trading, and just wanted to make sure I'm seeing this right: I'm watching NYSE listed stocks, and the NMS reports trades that are 50+ cents off the inside market. I think they're supposed to report within 90 seconds if it's a NMS stock, so these have got to be WAY late prints, right? The bad think is it goofs up your charting program because you've got these wild ranges on the bars. So is that "new high/low" really the high or low, or just some bar created by very delayed prints? I think it's just some weird bar created by the prints. Thoughts?
