As announced earlier this month, Nike is switching things up for Air Max Day 2019, focusing its efforts on its new "Give Fresh Air" campaign. With the help of sneaker boutiques and local organizations, the "Give Fresh Air" project's main goal is to stimulate sneaker culture in a way that will spark change and give back to the community. Nike patrons are encouraged to donate new and gently worn sneakers to partner retailers in the United States and Canada. (Hypebeast)

    Nike in China

Nike released a limited run of trainers designed by the studio of Japan's Jun Takahashi. However, the studio, Undercover, then expressed support on Instagram for Hong Kong citizens who have been protesting against a law that would allow extraditions to China. Undercover claimed the post was accidental but Nike has now pulled the line in China. Financial Times
