freaking unbelievable! Went as low as 7125! The Nikkei last bottomed around 8000 in 2003. Then went as high as 17K.

So, these last few months have wiped out all the gains since 2003! Half a decade gone! Tells you how hard it is to be a long term buy and hold in Nikkei.

People holding from 39,000 from '89 good luck!

But I think if you got guts and capital, stepping in to buy now and holding will probably not be a bad idea if you can stomach it... These levels are approaching historic low levels. Sophisticated investors should come in soon. Or long term value players... if they still exist.. hehe

  5. We'll slice through 800 on the spooz like a hot knife through butter this week.

Never thought it would happen this fast.

Weak fundamentals + forced selling + calamitous sentiment = more downside

  7. The G-7 made an unscheduled statement after a request from Japan, Finance Minister Shoichi Nakagawa said in Tokyo today, adding that his government was ready to act if needed. The G-7 fell short of pledging concerted action to halt the yen's gain.

``Issuing such a statement is a sign of failure to intervene,'' said Eisuke Sakakibara, a professor at Tokyo's Waseda University who was the Finance Ministry's top currency official from 1997 to 1999. ``The Japanese government may have consulted with their counterparts in the EU and the U.S. and they couldn't persuade them to intervene.''

Nakagawa - Should have kept his mouth shut or just started shooting - they've got a 1T account and the full support of NY Fed.

Instead, he makes this peculiar threat out of the blue and then goes wobbly.

  8. Believe it or not, the US empire looks much more in tact than just 3 short months ago. It's all relative.

  10. Rally has begun - all the way to DOW 9600, possibly 10K

    Then, another leg down.

ES 825 low was made in Globex session, market now 53 points from that bottom.
