  1. SGX or Osaka. I sometimes trade the mini on Osaka if I get home from my day job early enough. I mainly focus on Taiwan.

  2. trade it on sgx for about $20 per 5 point (=1 tick) or osaka mini for about $5 per 5pt or osaka big for 10pt ticks at 75 per tick.

  3. I may join you guys, but first a newbie question: lets say you're an American trading Nikkei futures - do you owe taxes to Japanese government?

Isn't foreign income taxable by the foreign government in the country the income was generated?

  4. I don't think so, I don't think trading gains are considered income in the traditional sense, but I'm no tax accountant.

    US taxes you will owe.

  6. Too bad you're not long the Nikkei right now (maybe you are). That thing is screaming into the morning cash close.

  7. Cool - I've been thinking of scalping European futures in the morning, American during the day, and Asian at night for a while. I don't want to trade any market all day long - just wait for the right setup for the highest % trades.

Just wasn't sure about the tax/regulatory issues. I'll definitely start pursuing this now.

The Nikkei looks like it mirrors the S&P. It is amazing

  10. That barely was enough. First trade for the day was a nice clean winner.
