As meticulous as the scribes were with the replication of the Scriptures, no one is perfect. Through the centuries, minor differences arose in the various copies of the Scriptures. The vast majority of these differences are simple spelling variants (akin to American neighbor versus British neighbour), inverted words (one manuscript says “Christ Jesus” while another says “Jesus Christ”), or an easily identified missing word. In short, over 99 percent of the biblical text is not questioned. Of the less than 1 percent of the text that is in question, no doctrinal teaching or command is jeopardized. In other words, the copies of the Bible we have today are pure. The Bible has not been corrupted, altered, edited, revised, or tampered with. Any unbiased document scholar will agree that the Bible has been remarkably well-preserved over the centuries. Copies of the Bible dating to the 14th century AD are nearly identical in content to copies from the 3rd century AD. When the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, scholars were shocked to see how similar they were to other ancient copies of the Old Testament, even though the Dead Sea Scrolls were hundreds of years older than anything previously discovered. Even many hardened skeptics and critics of the Bible admit that the Bible has been transmitted over the centuries far more accurately than any other ancient document. There is absolutely no evidence that the Bible has been revised, edited, or tampered with in any systematic manner. The sheer volume of biblical manuscripts makes it simple to recognize any attempt to distort God’s Word. There is no major doctrine of the Bible that is put in doubt as a result of the inconsequential differences among the manuscripts. https://www.gotquestions.org/Bible-corrupted.html
I have some Nigerian cash and change if you are interested. It has depreciated since I was there but if you can scrape together 700 euro worth, bargain for heaven really.
Amazing there are so many versions. What's even more amazing, the Jews, where this all started, don't agree with christianity and their bible. I already know what you will say, "they are blind to the truth". But we already know that the dogmatic, black and white, hot or cold, heaven & hell christians are right and everyone else is wrong.
Why would I be interested? There is nothing in the Bible that tells anyone to behave in the way they are or to believe the way they are believing.
And when Jesus rolled back the tomb stone, God flicked a switch, Mussies, Jews, the whole shebang world went to hell other than the disciples and hangers on'ers. These days it's the Mussies who think exclusively they are off to meet virgins in Paradise, I can understand why they want nukes. God loves revenge, nice work.
It's not like that. God created us as moral beings with choices. We are all accountable to Him for our choices. You show judgment when you point out the faults of those who say they are Christians and are not following the ways of the Bible. You show judgment whenever you make a moral decision. God also judges. You make it sound as though God will send righteous people to an eternity apart from Himself. That is not the case. His judgment comes against sin. If you know you are a sinner, then you should seek forgiveness through Jesus and His work on the cross and resurrection. If you don't think you are a sinner, then better think again, because we are all guilty!! If you don't think God will judge sin, then you aren't believing what God has told us He will do. The first sin came about because Eve did not believe God would really do what He said He would do if she ate the forbidden fruit. Satan told her, "You will not surely die." You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
