Soros distanced himself from Niederhoffer, he writes about it in "the alchemy of finance" i think or maybe soros on soros. He wrote that Niederhoffer strategies work in rangebound markets and burn money like crazy in runaway explosive markets. Was he right or not? So Soros fired VN before VN blew up the Quantum fund. Soros also got pissed with Niederhoffer because he talked all the time how honest he was... that made Soros suspicious. Another thing I don't like about VN is his insistent name-dropping, Soros, Trout, Toby Crabel blah blah that sounds like a salesman not like a rational, intelligent trader. PS I got interested in the markets a long long time ago thanks to "the alchemy of finance".
I've met so many people in the past in different business that claim honesty but my experience is that they're the worst to trust and they always disappear. Dragn
