Nick Leeson's new book

I saw in a London bookstore this week that Nick Leeson has released a new book. Its a kind of cross between psychology and dealing with lifes stresses with a bit of reflection on the Baring's crash thrown in. It is quite interesting hearing his attitude after 10 years since. He spoke about his time in prison and thoughts on his old wife etc.

Quite funny.

 

He should take up TV poker. He'd be a star. All he has to do is get to the 'featured table' a few times.

 

I loved Leeson's first two books, "Life As An Undisciplined Weasel With A Messiah Complex And Very Poor Trading Skillz" and "Let It Ride -- It's Gotta Come Back Sometime".

Today he is commercial manager of Galway FC. Maybe it's the new Chelsea?

 

I'd be more interested to hear who took the other side of his trade.

 

In the book Trendfollowing the author shows the correlation between some big trendfollowers (e.g. John Henry) and the fall of Barings. I can look up the details if you want.

 

Apparently he wasn't smart enough to get greased.
