They just are unprofessional and don't invest into customer service. The fact they dont get up their lazy ass to pick up phone calls says it all.
Because the phones are overwhelmed with people panicking because they don't know their positions. Not making excuses for TS mind you. BTW, other brokers executing just fine on CME from what I understand.
I had the same problem several years ago in 2004. I ended up double screwed because I entered two sell orders and didn't know if I was in a position or not. I did get through to the trade desk after an hour or so. They assured me that all was well. It wasn't. It cost me @ $400 and they would not even discuss the issue with me, much less try to listen to my concerns. I was promised reutrn phone calls from managers, yada, yada, yada. I never heard jack from them. I gave up calling them after a week and closed my account pronto. Sounds like things are the same or worse in 2008.
LOL. I had an account with TS in 04 as well. TS should have stayed on the software side of the business. Since they have gone to the brokerage side, software bugs that have been promised to be fixed have not, and it seems as though the brokerage side isn't getting any better. I pay more commission now, but having someone able to answer the phone to check or get me out of positions in emergencies is priceless. Ed
Really one of the worst brokers ever, keep you on hold for HOURS! And since they don't ever fix anything quickly, you are left in the dark because customer service just isn't there. How do they keep their customers? Are the customers masochists? Are they brainwashed and so dumb and lazy to change brokers? The problems continue at this software wanna be broker firm.
