The Germany/Russia game for Gold was one of the best. Russia's short-handed goal with one minute to go was classic. That goal was too much for Germany to handle psychologically and they lost in overtime.

The fact that Germany was fighting for the gold shows that no one cares, If this was the NHLers, it would have been US, Canada, Russia, and maybe Sweden, and Finland....... Germany wouldnt have even made it past the round robin.
Despite being in US & watched every minute of the 1980 games that were televised... I pulled for our brothers to the North in Canada to Take their game back & claim it as their own during that last series.
