TBH...this is true to a minor extent. Retail traders only make up a small percentage of the volume. While they lose often, that slice of the pie is merely not big enough to be split among the bigger firms. The top trading firms are not going after scraps and splitting Joe's 10k account in forex. They're going after profits from other big firms/funds/portfolios. Your account isn't even enough to pay their commissions.
