    And there it is, ladies and gents.

    The CME knows that NG volatility is about to die. Only three weeks left now according to them, as can be witnessed by the massive performance bond drops.

    They saw the increase coming months ago, before the optionsellers.com debacle. Now they see it flitting away. Fascinating.

    my broker increased initial margin from around $4k plus to > $5k plus

    sigh ...
    day range has gone down from peak of 900 ticks
    to ~ 70 ticks.

    soon it might be as low as 50 ticks.

    Well, the best thing to watch for will be disruptions like hurricanes, winter storms or pipeline explosions. Anything that messes with supply will be helpful for volatility going forward.

    Warm weather has taken the bid out of heating oil, too. Natural Gas heating and power generation off as well due to the mild temperatures.

    I am buying natural gas. All the negative news is fully priced in. It will bounce back....

    countertrend trading strategy? NG trend is downtrend.

    It is downtrend till charts says it is not.

    Yes....NG rarely falls below its 10 month low.
