Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has any consistently successful ways to trade the NFP release? This will be released in 2 days. I have had mixed success with it trading on a demo account and am interested on your thoughts. Cheers, James
1) Patience can be "rewarded". 2) You can try to "keep your ear to the ground" in the days leading up to the report for changes in the expectation of jobs created or jobs lost. The trend of the market leading up to Friday morning may "discount" most of the news release. 3) You could tinker around with short-selling, option straddles or strangles as a way of collecting volatility decay after the "number" is released.
