I truly believe this is what changed it. When the NFL changed that rule last year, it messed with the kicker's minds, and psychology HAS to play a huge role in the minds of kickers, because that is all they have to focus on. They KNEW how to set-up for PAT, they KNOW how to set-up for FG...Now the NFL comes in and changed that PAT yardage after how many years of it being what it was? An entire generation of kickers has adapted to a certain set of rules, and it is now abruptly changed? Head-fake sike-out shit! And tango, you mentioned Vinatieri...I have not followed him much at all, because Gostkowski was my fav kicker. When I saw HIM screwing the pooch, I knew something was awry. Now I'm leaning towards that Fairbairn guy for Houston, he's been doing well.
Ocho, with the accuracy they have at that range, I think it is fair to use the term "gimme", if you want to go into verbal sparring over it have fun. Gee, I didn't realize the differences between kicking and free throws, thanks for informing me.
He hit the post, 1-2 inches to the right and it is a FG. Not like he blew the kick wide by a mile. Also it is amazing not one of you commented on the most important fact: THE KICK WAS PARTIALLY BLOCKED which easily could have nudged it off course enough. Since you seemed to equate free throws with a 30 yard FG in near freezing weather, I thought you needed to be informed.
Vinatieri missed one, that's all that happened here. When Brady misses ONE you don't say it's over do you? He still has his leg.
