Hi Tom..I only learnt of it thru the board here but on friday when i connected the program it had a popup that there was new news released which took you to the new version download site.
Yeah tuna, you're right - I now remember that news pop-up, but I instinctively pressed the exit button thinking it was more propaganda for some news service like Reuters, Dow Jones or something.
I was using candle charts. Your error message is different, though. Was it by chance crashing on pages on which you made data corrections? I am not positive, but that may be a common difference in my pages that were corrupted and those that weren't. I can't be positive because I don't remember exactly and I can't open them (obviously) to check. Hmmmm. Spending the day rebuilding pages, Johnny
Okay, I rebuilt my pages (6 of them with 16 charts/level2/etc. per page). As I was rebuilding them I came up with some new ideas, so I changed them and used four of them to trade with today. It worked good all day. After the market closed, I exited and did some other work. A little while later I tried to open the same pages I had used all day, and one was corrupted. It gave the same error message as before when I tried to open it. I rebuilt it again this afternoon and backed it up, but it's getting old fast. Is anyone else going through this? I can't figure out what it is that's corrupting it. -Johnny
Got an idea its got something to do with the candle outline, I sent support my trading page and i got an email back there today saying that they'd figured out why it was crashing and by Monday they'll have a beta 3.22 ready for a test run. Backup the backup is how i'm working with it at the moment, yes it is frustrating but looks like their on to it.
Tuna, Thanks for the e-mail. I haven't received any response to my e-mails to them (2). Usually they have been pretty good about replying. -Johnny
JPB that new beta is ok..Has stopped destroying pages..I've had a couple of lock ups with it but relogg on and everythings is back to normal...the lock ups have been more caused by me rather than the program.
I haven't had any problems with the new beta yet. i do like that it saves the time scale, and the candle outline can be turned on and off. I just noticed you can look at time and sales for a couple of months back. Does anyone know a way to export this to a text file, or get it out any other way? It would be nice for intraday back testing. I asked NexTrend support but haven't heard back yet. --Johnny
